New Customers

During November I was very lucky to have more new clients come to Happy Tails Pet Care requiring regular dog walks. We have now had several walks together and it seems that I have known them for such a long time.

North Clwyd Animal Rescue - Christmas Open Day

Like many good and responsible rescues, running costs are at an all time high due to the large volumes of animals being abandoned, abused or simply no longer wanted. North Clwyd Animal Rescue is a very good rescue, it cares for all the animals in its care and some of these animals have been there too long. I have been a supporter of this rescue for a few years now, I have walked the dogs, run stalls at the open days, arranged fund raising when working at HBOS and most recently become a Home Checker for animals being rehomed.

To help raise the much needed funds to care for their animals, the annual Christmas Open Day is being held on Sunday 12th December between 11am and 3.00pm.

Why not come along and visit the animals in their care, and you can even leave gifts for them in their very own stocking. Father Christmas will be making a special visit to the children and dogs that come along on the day. With a variety of stalls, tombolas, raffles, entertainment and refreshments served all day, the Christmas Open day is not to be missed.

If anyone is looking to give a home to a new dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig I would strongly urge you to visit this rescue or give them a call to discuss the type of animal that you are looking for.

Visit their website where you can find more information about the rescue, directions on how to get there and all the animals looking for forever homes.

When we got our boxer pup, Murphy we needed to find someone reliable, trustworthy, caring and flexible to help look after him when we couldn’t be around - how relieved we were to find Hazel. She’s excelled our expectations and really couldn’t have managed without her. We leave Murphy knowing that when Hazel visits (sometimes twice a day) he’ll be extremely well looked after, fussed, fed and walked. All visits meet not only our needs but also Murphy’s needs. When he was a puppy Hazel played with him and now he’s able to go out she varies the activities and walks she takes him on. Hazel has supported us in his training by working on his socialisation, heel and lead walking during her visits. Recently he’s been out in her car to the local field on a long line lead practising recall which is just fantastic. Not only does Murphy have a great time but he’s shattered so we don’t have to worry about taking him out in the evening. Even better is the fact that once Hazel leaves he had so much fuss, attention and exercise that he sleeps which means we don’t come home to find he’s dug even more holes in the garden!

Hazel’s been flexible and accommodating when arranging dates and times and has often come to our rescue at very short notice. I love the fact she texts to let me know how things have gone. Each visit she’s totally focused on Murphy and conveys a real interest in him and his development - I’m sure she’s exactly the same with all her other clients. We feel totally confident allowing Hazel into our house, she offers fantastic service in a professional and client-centred way. Her dedication and love of pets is obvious and she is knowledgeable and skilled in animal behaviour.

I can’t speak highly enough of Hazel and her services and have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone with pets. For us Hazel has been invaluable, Murphy and I can’t thank her enough.

Dear Hazel

I would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to you for looking after our cats when we have been working away or on holiday this year, and to thank you in advance for all the other visits you will make in the future.

Like many pet owners, the demand on family members to come by each day and look after our cats was sometimes too much for the family members, and not enough for our girls. Until you came along, we had been wary of having a stranger in our home, and taking responsibility for our girls. We needn’t have worried with you though!

Each time we have returned home after you have been looking after them, they have been calm and content, sometimes acting as if we’d only been gone a few hours! This is amazing, bearing in mind their very different personalities and preferences - one that is very shy, prefers to be left alone and seeks attention on her own terms, and the other that would demand attention 24/7 if she could get it!

We find your text updates letting us know how they’re getting comforting and reassuring, especially when we’ve been away for a few days at a time. I can’t recommend your services highly enough and would be pleased to provide a reference to any prospective clients.

Your flexible services working around each client, in our case paying two or more visits a day to enable the cats to be out and about and have cuddles and attention is important to us, especially during the summer when they like to roam around.

We are comfortable leaving our cats and our keys with you, knowing they are in safe hands, which makes our trips away all the more enjoyable as we know we will be returning to happy girls, no post on the doorstep, and plants still alive – all of which are part of the extended service and are really appreciated, thanks!

When my partner had to go away to work 3 months before our wedding I was very worried I would not be able to cope working full time, planning the wedding and looking after our 1 year old Pointer Retriever cross, Arwen.

We had to consider if we would be able to keep her when I would only be able to walk her for 20 minutes at lunch time and then leave her again to get back to work. Hazel made it possible for me to keep Arwen.

Each day Hazel has visited Arwen and walked her accordingly to what I have requested. Initially for shorter periods as Arwen was recovering from a broken leg and now for the hour. Hazel always texts me to let me know how it has gone and any little adventures Arwen has had. Each day I feel comforted and happy that Arwen gets a break in her day with someone who cares for her and appreciates her for the lovely dog she is.

The service Hazel has provided has been fantastic and far excelled my expectations. She has even been flexible when I have had to work late so that Arwen has a break in the middle of the time she is alone.

I would not hesitate in recommending Hazel to anyone. If you require someone to assist you with your pet when you are at work and want that someone to genuinely care for your pets well-being while being trustworthy, approachable and friendly then you should call Hazel. Her service is 5 star.

Thank you Hazel, Arwen and I would have been lost without you.

Dear Hazel

Having been away from home on holiday for 3 and a half weeks, we cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and kindness to Charlee and Barnee.

As you know we usually have family popping in to feed and look after them. This usually works o.k. but on returning from holiday we have the usual period of a few days where Charlee and Barnee are not happy with us and are very shy and will not make eye contact! To say it was different this time would be an understatement.

We have never trusted anyone outside of the family to look after Charlee and Barnee and they are now nine! as you know and it took a leap of faith to entrust them to somebody to look after and care for them as you did. Upon our return we could tell that they had been extremely happy with you and did not miss us anywhere near to our previous long spells away from home on holiday.

You have been fantastic and your updates on their behaviour whilst we were away were a great comfort to us. They are, as you know, happy little souls that love attention and love being with people. They looked so well cared for, happy and groomed when we got home we were amazed at them and we are so very grateful to you, you clearly have found your true vocation. We wish you every success in your business and we know that other pet owners will be as impressed with your exceptional service as we have been.

We would certainly recommend you to anybody wishing to have a happy, personable, professional, genuine, trustworthy kind and attentive sitter/carer etc. for their pets. You have been fabulous and we cannot thank you enough and you deserve nothing but praise for a job well done and for your business to flourish.

If you wish to post this email onto your website please feel free to do so, together with any photos of Charlee and Barnee.

Many thanks from us all!

June - New Clients

I'm so pleased that my business is going from strength to strength. I've had more new customers sign up for my services of dog walking and cat sitting, plus 4 lovely rabbits to care for. Life is so different to that of 12 months ago, when I was working for the bank. Life now is still busy but I'm now doing something that I love.

Thought I would share some pictures of my new pet clients.

Benefits of Cat Sitting

Many ponder what to do with their beloved cats when going on holiday or if working away. Should they ask family/friends, should they use a Cattery. Here are some of the benefits of using Happy Tails Pet Care

You pet remains in familiar and secure environment. All smells and sounds remain the same.

Cats do not like change and going away from their home can be very stressful for them.

Continuation of the same diet and exercise routine.

No upset of having to travel.

Your cat(s) receive personal attention and love whilst you are away.

All services are tailored to you, so if you want your cat(s) to be brushed daily, medication given, eyes wiped or any other service, I will provide it.

Less exposure to illness as they won't be in confined areas next to other cats

You won't be upset having to take your cat(s) to an unknown, possibly noisy environment

Your home is regularly visited and gets the lived in look, post taken in, plants watered, bins out and if required I will even get you some shopping in for your return.

And finally, you can go on holiday/away on business knowing your cat(s) are in caring loving hands and you can relax and not worry. I'll even send you a daily text giving you an update on my visits.

What have you to lose, make a no obligation appointment to meet me before you decide if you want to go ahead with a booking or not.

My service gives you the flexibility you need and I always give 110% to ensure the pets in my care are looked after and loved like my own.

Here are some pictures of my lovely cats, Belle and Jasmine who are 8 years old this month.

Got new booking this weekend for a lovely cat called Lenny. He has had a very sad past. He was neglected and when taken in by the Rescue Centre, he was suffering from a very bad case of ear mites. Following treatment his ears heeled but as you can see from the photo they were damaged. He now has a lovely home in Bromborough, with very kind owners where you can see he is so happy. When visiting he was always there to greet my arrival, obviously, cupboard love as he knew I was going to feed him. He is such a friendly little cat and a total pleasure to look after.

More new customers

My services are becoming very popular and now also starting to get repeat customers, its such a satisifying job that I do and its brilliant that my clients are so happy with the service I provide to them and their pets.
